is not rubbish is a series born from coincidences and
encounters, compiling and relating. Purposeless collections in which
objects are not initially linked with each other.
Item
1 puts together two images from two different personal
archives. Five years ago I picked up a photograph from my parents'
collection to make a series of screenprints. In the image I am posing
with my sister in front of a door. The photograph is almost divided
by an orange line of light. A friend saw the image and told me she
had almost the same photograph with her brother and also that light
leak across the top of the picture.
Item 2 are two plastic bags from two different businesses in distant parts of Spain.
